Day 24 – Vientiane to Pakse

We visited the COPE Visitor Center that works with the UXO Center we visited back in Luang Prabang. This center helps people who have become disabled through UXO incidents around the country. We also were able to learn a bit more about the issue.
Household items around the country made out of the scraps from the bombs dropped.
We then grabbed a sleeper bus from Vientiane to Pakse. The total trip took 15 hours.
What the beds looked like on the bus. People who traveled alone had to share with strangers.
The journey was pretty comfortable. However due to heavy rain throughout the trip the ceiling of the bus started leaking. The two men next to us got completely soaked and had to wait for the rain to stop until the could rest. Luckily for us, we only had a little bit of dripping.

  1. The COPE center is fascinating. So sad that people are still being maimed or even killed by left over bombs. Hope you enjoyed your sleep. Love and miss you ❤️
